We are so excited to celebrate this moment with our closest family and friends - travelling from all over the world to the very tip of Africa.

We've made this website to keep you updated on all the details: the where, the when, the what-to-wear, and the where-to-sleep.

Please RSVP by 1 November 2026. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

With love,

Gustaf & Magnus

Our story

How we got here

Fredhällsklipporna - Gustaf and Magnus
Chapter 1

Fredhällsklipporna

Our first date, in September 2019, up on the cliffs above the water in Stockholm. Somewhere between the view and the conversation we fell in love, and never quite stopped.

Stockholm - Gustaf and Magnus
Chapter 2

Stockholm

We moved in together in November 2020, and in June 2022 we bought our first place in Stockholm - a home with both our names on it. Years of galavanting around town, long dinners, and slow wine nights in the city.

New York - Gustaf and Magnus
Chapter 3

New York

In June 2025 we officially moved to New York. A new continent, a new apartment, the serious business of narrowing down our favourite bagel order, and giving capitalism another honest try.

Zorgvliet - Gustaf and Magnus
Chapter 4

Zorgvliet

We already had a quiet wedding at Stadshuset in Stockholm in February 2025. Now we are having the big one - vineyards, mountains, and everyone we love in one place.

What to wear

Dress code

Garden-party formal

Suits, long dresses and linen. May is autumn in the Cape - golden days around 20°C, cooler evenings, so bring a layer for when the sun dips behind the Simonsberg.

Friday is smart-casual. Saturday we dress up.

Travel

Getting here & around

Zorgvliet sits in the Banhoek Valley just outside Stellenbosch, about 50 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.

Tap a pin for directions - Zorgvliet Wine Estate, the guest houses, and the airport.

Flying in

Fly into Cape Town International (CPT). The drive to Stellenbosch is about 50 minutes - rent a car or grab an Uber, and if you are a larger group arriving together, tell us on your RSVP and we will look into a shuttle straight from the airport.

Ubers & shuttles

Uber works well across the Winelands and is the simplest way to get to Zorgvliet and home again, so nobody has to argue about who's driving. If you are a larger group flying in together, say so on your RSVP and we will look into arranging a shuttle. Still to be confirmed.

Driving

Free parking at the estate. From Stellenbosch, take the R310 up Helshoogte Pass - Zorgvliet is on your right just before Banhoek Corner.

Where to sleep

Accommodation

Staying at Zorgvliet?

If you're one of the lucky ones staying on the estate, your room is arranged - you'll find the details on your personal RSVP page. All you have to do is show up.

Booking your own?

We've hand-picked these guest houses nearby. Book early - May is harvest-festival season in the winelands and rooms go fast. Shuttles will run from all of them on both nights.

Not sure which applies to you? Open your invitation and it will tell you.

The bar

An open bar at the wedding

Wine from the very vineyard you're standing in, Cape craft gin, cold beer and proper cocktails. On the Saturday your glass should never be empty - that's the whole plan.

The bar is proudly sponsored by

A Norwegian Soccer Club

We won FIFA World Cup tickets in a raffle. Being two gay men who don't watch soccer, we did what any responsible couple would do: sold them for a pretty penny and put the proceeds towards something we really do believe in - an open bar.

Make a holiday of it

After the wedding

You are flying all this way - stay a while. Cape Town in May is quiet, golden and gorgeous. Spend the days exploring at your own pace, and we will gather everyone together for dinner in the evenings.

Sunday2 May

Yours to do as you please

If you are still at Zorgvliet you are almost certainly recovering, and that is entirely allowed. Otherwise the Franschhoek Wine Tram makes a wonderful day out, or head into Cape Town. No obligations, no itinerary.

Monday3 May

Cape Town, then dinner together

Restaurant to follow

Explore the city during the day, then join us in the evening. We book the table once the RSVPs are in, so do let us know if you are joining.

Tuesday4 May

Another day, another dinner

Restaurant to follow

More of the Cape by day, and a second dinner all together that evening.

Wednesday to Saturday5 - 8 May

Safari, with us

Packages & pricing to follow

For anyone who wants the Big Five, come on safari with us - we are going too. Machaba Blue are putting the packages together, so you can simply choose one and go. They can help plan your Cape Town days as well, if you would like someone else to do the thinking.

Things to do in the day

Table MountainCable car up, sunset down. Book ahead.
Bo-Kaap & City BowlColourful streets, great coffee, Cape Malay food.
Camps Bay & Chapman's PeakThe most beautiful ocean drive on Earth.
Kirstenbosch GardensBotanical gardens under the mountain's east face.
The winelands, obviouslyYou'll already be in them. Stay. Taste. Repeat.

Doing the whole trip? Consider flying into Cape Town and home out of Johannesburg. The game reserves are up north, and it saves you a long backtrack at the end.

Good to know

Questions you were going to ask

1 November 2026, please - the estate needs final numbers, and so do our nerves.

We love kids - but the wedding itself is an adults-only party. We can arrange a nanny room at the estate with nannies and children's meals, so little ones are looked after close by while the grown-ups celebrate. Let us know on your RSVP if you would like this.

Cape autumn: sunny days around 18-22°C, crisp evenings around 10°C. Bring a jacket for after dark.

Swedish and American passport holders currently get a 90-day visa exemption for South Africa. Please check the requirements for your own passport and travel plans well before you book - rules change, and yours may differ.

South African Rand (cards work everywhere), Type M & N plugs (bring an adapter), and Uber works well around Stellenbosch and Cape Town.

Your presence - from the other side of the planet, in many cases - is genuinely the gift.
